CommTel celebrates a decade of success
Espoo, Finland (Nokia Siemens Networks ) / Melbourne, Australia (CommTel Network Solutions) November 14th 2008To celebrate this important milestone in the relationship between the two companies, three events were held: CommTel’s own celebration of 10 years as a company in June, CommTel CEO Robert Green’s visit to Finland in September, and a joint dinner at the Melbourne Aquarium in October, 2008. “Three celebrations is a fortuitous sign of at least thirty years of business planned together!” quipped Simon Mackey, Channel and Business Development manager, Custom Networks, Nokia Siemens Networks. CommTel’s area of operations covers Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, with expansion into Asia already underway. The company provides design, engineering, and integration services for advanced telecommunications systems in demanding industries such as mining, transport, and energy. The company offers a wide range of products and professional services, including PDH, SDH, and Ethernet based products as well as system design, configuration, and testing. CommTel's product technology partner, Avara Technologies, has recently entered into a partnership agreement with NSN to focus on expanding and improving the NSN Dynanet offering. CommTel’s ongoing relationship with Nokia Siemens Networks will mean the development of new solutions and a broader product and service range for CommTel customers, including the introduction of new Ethernet and IP functionality to the Dynanet product family. Moving forward, CommTel and Nokia Siemens Networks will continue their collaborative relationship, developing new solutions and identifying new opportunities for customers to utilize Nokia Siemens Networks’ robust and reliable product range for decades to come.
