CommTel Upgrades Major QLD Electricity Utility

CommTel Network Solutions has successfully delivered a complete turnkey communications project to a major Australian Utility, including network management, installation, training and technical support. CommTel successfully delivered the project by providing a full end-to-end solution, for packet switched and circuit switched services from 64Kbps to 155Mbps, over copper, fibre and radio transmission media.


In addition to overall system design, CommTel also provided Configuration, Integration and Factory Acceptance Testing services. A complete training program was developed, supported by a 24*7 service desk to address any operational issues.

With CommTel’s end solution implemented and operational, and ongoing support services available, the Utility is very satisfied that all of the key project targets were addressed appropriately to specification. The network, now operational, is running over a total area of 100km, and is managed remotely from the head office. With the project delivered on time and in budget, CommTel has provided a reliable solution that is cost effective and easily administered.
